In 2013 Foolproof decided to redesign their website as part of a company-wide rebrand. The website needed to powerfully demonstrate their new brand while reflecting the level and scope of their expertise.
Key to the new website is a responsive design, which ensures that it adapts to any technology that it’s viewed on, whether mobile phone, tablet or PC. The design must be deceptively simple – so it’s easy for visitors to use – but complex behind-the-scenes.
Foolproof chose Ketchup Digital to build their new website, due to Ketchup’s reputation in both front and back-end web build. They needed an agency that was able to replicate their design online and build a content management system (CMS) that gave them the flexibility they needed to maintain the website.
Ketchup built the website using the open source CMS, Umbraco. As an open source system Umbraco is easily transferable from one developer to another, giving Foolproof the option of using other developers at a later date.
Content management systems like Umbraco are essential for reducing the cost of ongoing updates. The system is simple to use, so Foolproof’s designers can quickly add and amend content as and when they need to.
Ketchup worked with Foolproof to transfer hundreds of pages of valuable content from their old website, reducing the amount of content to be uploaded.
Ketchup is continuing to work with Foolproof to make improvements to the website.
